SEATTLE - A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Sue Mecham on Monday, Nov. 23, at 5 p.m., at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. Mecham, the managing director of the Fulcrum Foundation, which supports Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle, died unexpectedly Nov. 15 at the age of 58.

“Sue’s gift of connecting with people and of bringing them together for a higher purpose, has strengthened Fulcrum and countless Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle,” wrote Fulcrum executive director Anthony Holter and Seattle Catholic Schools superintendent Patrick Haggarty in a message to Catholic school leaders.

“There is no doubt that Fulcrum’s success in the last decade is a testament to Sue, her tremendous gifts, and her commitment to our schools. Sue was a compassionate, determined, and visionary leader--a great friend and trusted partner.”
