Northwest Catholic is proud to honor our 2018 Students of the Year, Zoey Suarez and Jack Markowitz, for their achievements and contributions in the classroom, in their extracurricular activities, and in their communities.

The new grads will each receive a $1,000 Northwest Catholic scholarship to help them continue their education.

“Zoey is perhaps one of the smartest and most humble students at Bellarmine,” said nominator Cameron Irving. A class valedictorian, she carried a 4.0 GPA, competed in Future Business Leaders of America and Knowledge Bowl, was manager of the varsity softball team, served as a peer tutor, was active in campus ministry and won many academic awards. Jack is “a true example of a person of character, faith and service,” said nominator John O’Neill. He was captain of O’Dea’s state champion football team as well as the wrestling team, was an officer in the National Honor Society and served as the school chaplain. He was awarded the top Scholar-Athlete Scholarship by the Seattle Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
