Samantha Ramsey

Seton Catholic High School

A member of Seton Catholic’s Science Olympiad, Knowledge Bowl, cheer, swim, and track and field teams, Samantha holds a 4.4 weighted GPA. At Vancouver’s Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, she is an usher, youth group member and seven-year vacation Bible school volunteer, and has been a tutor and swim coach at the parish school. She has also organized groups of students to volunteer at the Clark County Food Bank.

Bishop Blanchet High School

“Joey” has distinguished himself as a talented performer in Bishop Blanchet’s theater program, playing the roles of Pippin in Pippin, Donkey in Shrek and Noah in Children of Eden, and being elected president of the school’s National Thespian Society. A member of Seattle’s St. Bridget Parish, he carries a 3.83 GPA and volunteers regularly at his school and parish, and at WestSide Baby/St. Joseph’s Baby Corner.

In each edition from September to June, Northwest Catholic will honor a male and a female student for their achievements and contributions in the classroom, in their extracurricular activities, and in their churches and communities. At the end of the school year, two Students of the Year will be selected to receive $1,000 Northwest Catholic scholarships.
