Anna Tagelberg

John F. Kennedy Catholic High School
Senior – basketball, volleyball

A determined and hardworking four-year athlete, Anna has become a team leader for the Lancers. She maintains a 3.88 GPA; serves in student government and other leader-ship positions; is a member of Kids Offering Others Care and Support, preparing and serving breakfast for the homeless on Saturday mornings; and volunteers at Highline Medical Center.

Tristan Franklin Peloquin

Gig Harbor High School
Senior – crosscountry, track

A cross country team captain, Tristan led the Tides to a second-straight 4A state cham-pionship in November, finishing fourth individually. In 2013, he finished third in state for a team that went on to win the national championship. He holds a 3.87 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, and serves as an extraordinary minister of holy Communion at St. Nicholas Parish.

Each month, Northwest Catholic will feature two high school Athletes of the Month. These athletes are nominated by their schools and selected by a board with members from CYO athletics, Catholic schools and the Fulcrum Foundation. In June, two of these athletes will be selected as Athletes of the Year and receive $1,000 scholarships. These athletes are chosen based on their achievements on and off the field, and in their communities.
