Archbishop J. Peter Sartain will give a keynote address and celebrate Mass at a one-day conference to help Catholics grow spiritually through their specific vocations. The Frassati Conference, which has tracks for singles, married couples and parents, will occur on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, 500 Veneta Ave.

The conference begins with a 9 a.m. daily Mass celebrated by Star of the Sea pastor Father Derek Lappe. After Mass, popular blogger Father Dwight Longenecker, a convert and married priest from South Carolina, will give a talk entitled “Dream, Scream and Believe: A Personal Plan for Evangelization.

Father Longenecker will also give a workshop for parents on Evangelizing from the Family: Advice for Parents from St. John Bosco, and one for dads on Advice for Fathers from St. Benedict. Catholic blogger Katrina Fernandez will lead a workshop on a similar theme for mothers.

Diana Jorda, youth minister at St. Anthony Parish in Renton, will give a workshop for singles called Where Do I Fit: Prayer, Community and Evangelization in the Single State of Life. Mike and Kristine Mauss will give another singles workshop on How to Find and Discern a Good Spouse.

After a period of eucharistic adoration with guided meditation, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain will give his talk, Blessed Frassati: A Model of Ordinary Holiness for All. Archbishop Sartain will then celebrate a 5:15 p.m. vigil Mass, followed by a reception.

The cost is $25 for college students, $35 for singles, $45 for couples, and $15 for young adults attending with their immediate family. Optional box lunches are $10. Child care is available: $10 for the first child, and $5 for each child after that (capped at $25).
