Science, God and Creation presentation comes to St. Mary of the Valley Oct. 15

Some claim that modern science has found no evidence of a creator, but Karlo Broussard says he uses commonly ignored scientific evidence to prove God does exist.
When you examine science objectively, you discover that the evidence actually points in the direction of God, not away from him, said Broussard, director of the speakers bureau of the Magis Center of Reason and Faith in Irvine, Calif.
He will discuss Science, God and Creation from 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at St. Mary of the Valley Parish. During the free program, Broussard will present the logic behind modern scientific research, showing how easy it is to follow scientific facts that lead to the beginning of the universe and all physical reality.
Often, he said, atheists and others suppress scientific evidence because they don't want to admit there's a creative being they would be responsible to. And it takes some humility to accept that there is something, like God, that exists beyond themselves, Broussard said.
Broussard received his bachelor's degree in theology from Catholic Distance University and his master's degree in pastoral theology from the Augustine Institute with a concentration in catechesis and evangelization. He has given hundreds of presentations throughout the U.S. in the area of intellectual evangelization.
The Magis Center, founded by former Gonzaga University president and Jesuit Father Robert Spitzer, is at the cutting edge of intellectual evangelism, Broussard said. We are all being bombarded by an agnostic and atheist culture that seems to have the upper hand on proving whether God exists. With our information, people see that's not true and say they feel confident about sharing this information with others.
