Archdiocese announces fall plans for Catholic schools

SEATTLE – Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle will start the school year with in-person instruction, remote learning or a combination of the two, depending on guidance from local public health authorities on a county-by-county basis.

A June 25 WIRED magazine article described a new and dangerous habit that has become part of popular technology practices. “Doomscrolling” refers to the pattern of scrolling through social media in the midst of a pandemic and social unrest and being flooded with morbid messages that elicit an almost physical discomfort.

OLYMPIA – People suffering stress caused by COVID-19’s restrictions, job losses and remote learning — or the death of a loved one from the virus — will soon be able to turn to a new grief support program at St. Michael Parish.
