So she signed up for a parish group studying Sofia Cavalletti’s book Ways to Nurture the Relationship with God, never guessing the impact that book would have.

OLYMPIA – Nancy Parker’s efforts to lose weight have included all kinds of diets and supplements, and even the thought of surgery. Now the St. Michael parishioner is finding success with Light Weigh One King, a Catholic Bible study program that is helping her find peace with food.

Summer Bible schools keep kids connected to their faith

As summer began, children at Olympia’s St. Michael Parish were learning about homelessness by building shelters out of cardboard and duct tape. They also saw a “tiny home” shelter crafted by Peter Roderick, a parishioner at St. Leo Parish in Tacoma.
