Mary James Gibson
Mary James Gibson died October 12. She was 75.
Born in Seattle, she graduated from Holy Names Academy and the University of Washington. She married her husband, Mike, at Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue. She was a teacher, and retired in 2007.
She moved to Manson from Mill Creek four years ago. Most recently, she attended St. Francis de Sales Parish in Chelan.
She was a member of the RV Club and the Washington State School Retirees’ Association. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, creating jewelry, planting flowers in her garden, and collecting and selling antiques. She loved her children, grandchildren and Cavalier King Charles puppies.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael; daughters, Mary Beth Gibson and Alicia Geoghagan; brother, Jerry Maloney; sisters, Ann Isberg and Liz Goddard; and grandchildren, Brodie and Amelia Geoghagan.
She was interred October 21 at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle.
Janet Clare Schatz
Janet Clare Schatz, a member of St. Matthew Parish, died October 29. She was 82.
A lifelong Seattle resident, she graduated from Holy Angels Academy in 1956.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and sisters Margaret Smith and Dorothy Bruce.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff, Ron, Jay and Brian; sister Joanie Arnott; and grandchildren, Andrew and Thomas Schatz.
