SEATTLE – The staff of Northwest Catholic and NWCatholic.org received 14 Catholic Press Awards during the 2019 Catholic Media Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida. The awards were announced June 21.
In the individual excellence categories, Keri Hake, Northwest Catholic’s advertising sales manager and general business manager, received third place for Advertising Business/Marketing Professional of the Year.
The awards were presented by the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada. Northwest Catholic was recognized for work done in 2018 in a wide range of categories, including writing, digital content, advertising and graphic design.
In the all-publications competition, photos taken by Stephen Brashear at the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, took first place for best online photo content not published in print.
Auxiliary Bishop Daniel H. Mueggenborg won second place for best regular bishop’s column in a diocesan magazine for his “Ask a Bishop” column.
