Pope Francis will preside at the Jan. 5 funeral Mass for Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter’s Square, where an estimated 60,000 people are expected to attend.

The funeral, which begins at 12:30 a.m. Pacific Time, will be broadcast live on the  Vatican News YouTube Channel and the Vatican News Facebook page, as well as on EWTN.

EWTN will air encore presentations of the funeral Jan. 5 at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific. The cable channel is broadcasting other Pope Benedict XVI content throughout the day, including a 9:10 a.m. (Pacific) memorial Mass from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., celebrated by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States.
