Jacqueline Rossi

SEATTLE — Longtime Seattle resident Jacqueline Marion Rossi died Sept. 6, 2023, in Seattle. She was 94.

She was born Sept. 18, 1928, to Gordon and Lydia Holsinger on a farm near Ellendale, North Dakota. She lived in Washington state for 80 years. She met her future husband, John Rossi, while working for the Social Security Administration; they married in 1952 in Vancouver.

Besides working for the Social Security Administration, she owned Nancy’s Sewing Basket on Queen Anne Hill, retiring in 2017.

She is remembered for quietly loving the Lord, giving unconditionally and having the gifts of wonderment and joy. She served as a PTA president and loved the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her sisters Shirley and Jeannine. 

She is survived by sons Tony and John (Aneliza); daughters Nancy (Bill) Berrington and Mary Wilson; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at Butterworth Funeral Home-Arthur A. Wright Chapel in Seattle. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle.
